Hunting Stands and Berms on Town of Neva Land

We for sure want Town of Neva or any citizens to enjoy and use of our public land. Such land has some basic rules to follow. This ordinance is based from Langlade County and I know they used the same words from state owned land.

It has come to my attention from a local resident who uses our land that a person, within the last two months has put up two hang on tree stands. This is alright if the proper identification is on the stand and within a proper time frame as allowed by law. This ordinance will have our land conform with the normal rule of law. WHAT IS REALLY WRONG IS THE USE OF SCREW IN STEPS. This is normally not allowed on any public land. This ordinance would haveĀ  our land conform with the normal rule of law. It should be noted that if such is left in a tree, and we do and are logging some of the Town of Neva land, that such screw in steps causes extreme harm to machinery and could affect the operator.

The other issue is ‘someone’ keeps berming the internal logging roads on Town of Neva land that restricts the passage of any type of vehicle, truck or utv or atv. Only the Town of Neva Board can put in such berms. It should be noted then when I was first elected as Town Chair, one berm was removed. This is another one we were not aware of back four years ago.
