At the June Neva Board Meeting and agenda item was to look at and trim the tree branches going into the Town of Neva roads.

June 12, 2026, Chairman Curler did a tour of all the town roads that he felt needed the branches to be cut back. On June 14, he sent an 3 page email to Town Supervisors Koss and Ullman.

August 12, 2026, Town of Neva Board Meeting, there was discussion and Supervisor Koss ‘makes a motion to approve and initial Doug’s plan with exceptions which he states don’t need to be brushed.’ Motion passed 2 to 1 nay from Chair Curler because he maintained Star Neva, must be done. Letters for quotes were sent out to two possible businesses to do the cutting.

September 8, 2026, Town of Neva Board Meeting, the two quotes were opened. Supervisor Koss was not present at the meeting for work issues. Chair Curler made a motion three times to go with the lower bid. Supervisor Ullman did not second any of the three motions. Therefore it failed and no clearing of the branches can be done. I am asking any residents that have trees into the road for normal breakage, snow accumulation or ice accumulation to call Supervisor Ullman and he will take care of the removal of all branches. That is for the roads listed on page 2 and page 3, since he refused to second the motion to have the work done. Herb’s phone is 715-216-0296.
